You make some very good points, Graham.

We all have products we like. For example, I’m a big fan of Sam Adams beer, I love the music of Tom Waits, and the horror writer Graham Masterton is one of my favorite authors.

If Sam, Tom, and Masterton all sent me free stuff in exchange for placing links on my site to their products, I’d be the happiest fan-boy on earth.

In fact, I already have Sam Adams and Tom Waits T-shirts that I paid for, so I already proudly advertise for them.

So far, I’ve gotten a lot of positive response. We’ll see if it makes a dent in my sales.
